After attending and presenting at her first WordCamp in Philly in June, Lauren Pittenger attended and delivered another talk at her second WordCamp in Scranton. In July, on the campus of Johnson College, Lauren gave a presentation entitled “Birthing a Child Theme.”

Lauren spoke about creating a child theme and some of the ways child themes can piggyback off of another theme’s functionality and styles in order to create something unique to a client website and that fits the client’s project needs and requirements.
