Norwood Park Martial Arts website
Dedicated to sharing its instructors’ enthusiasm and knowledge of martial arts, Norwood Park Martial Arts is a new Chicago-based martial arts school with a unique focus. Wanting to stand out from other martial arts academies, they turned to lbdesign to create their corporate identity and website.
Having previously worked with Japanese fonts and culture, we were eager to get involved. Norwood Park Martial Arts offers training in Karate, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts and Modern Armis. We worked to develop a logo that represented the cultures and histories of each of these arts. It was great to see our artwork become parts of the school’s training uniform, as the logotype was silk-screened onto t-shirts.
We also worked with the school to develop an online presence. Norwood Park Martial Arts wanted a clean, professional look. We delivered that with a limited colour palette and stark, contrast-distorted greyscale images. We coached the school on setting up a Twitter account, and offer continued guidance on its usage.
