Survivors Fund's book of testimonies
To commemorate the ten year anniversary of the Rwandan genocide, lbdesign worked with Survivors Fund (SURF) on the creation of a 72-page book of testimonies of Rwandan genocide survivors. This significant project was done on a limited budget and an even more restrictive production schedule. We had less than three weeks between the initial phone call about the project to the print deadline.
As part of the project, lbdesign worked closely with SURF to ensure the proper look, feel and tone of the book. We were heavily involved from the start, even authoring and editing portions of the text.
On a personal note, the design and production of this book was one of our most significant projects to date. The nature of its content has spurred us to a greater understanding and commitment of the needs of genocide survivors.
